Abortion means removal of the foetus from the womb. There is nothing in the ritual described in the Bible passage that supports abortion. Instead it describes how to punish a suspected cheating woman...if she is innocent, the concoction will have no effect on her, if she is guilty, her belly and thighs will rot. Simple. No talk of pregnant woman or her baby. 4 Likes |
Re: D by Nobody: 8:44am On Dec 21, 2016 |
otipoju:What they hell are you even talking about. In Abortion the baby must not always be removed from the womb. The fetus just has to be killed and it can be done with a drug a seen in the verses. Its clearly abortion, since the other woman gave birth as it specified that she would give birth if she was faithful, but wouldn't if she cheated. 1 Like |
Re: D by Nobody: 8:48am On Dec 21, 2016 |
Lennycool: Why did you not mention me? Numbers 5:11-31 does not refer to abortion in any sense. Rather, it is describing a method that God allowed to be used to determine if a wife had committed adultery against her husband. The NIV is the only translations to use the word "miscarriage" and they insert it in the place of words that translate as "waste away". Only a couple of translations even translate (be·ṭen) and (biṭ·neḵ) as womb. The rest use belly or abdomen. God has ever been n advocate for abortion. If he was he would not have instructed man to be fruitful and multiply. Stop lying for atheism. I know its good for your health as an atheist but still sometimes push it into a strong room and lock it up 3 Likes 3 Shares |

Re: D by Nobody: 8:54am On Dec 21, 2016 |
4everGod:A method in which only the faithful woman can give birth? The revised version used the sentence "The uterus will drop" Not to mention the NIV clearly states miscarriage Isn't it funny how you rush to different versions when one doesn't suit you. It is clearly abortion, try again 4 Likes |

Lennycool: I have given you the words used in the original context. Do yourself the favor of looking them up instead of lying everywhere. If you see a translation you seem to frown at then go to the original word the translation came from. Do some homework alright? I am sure you hve heard of a bible concordance before. Its because of erroneous translations like this that made us have the Bible concordance. I have taken the liberty of offering you numerous other translations which translated the words (be·ṭen) and (biṭ·neḵ) correctly. Again stop lying for atheism. King James Bible And when he hath made her to drink the water, then it shall come to pass, that, if she be defiled, and have done trespass against her husband, that the water that causeth the curse shall enter into her, and become bitter, and her belly shall swell, and her thigh shall rot: and the woman shall be a curse among her people. Holman Christian Standard Bible When he makes her drink the water, if she has defiled herself and been unfaithful to her husband, the water that brings a curse will enter her and cause bitter suffering; her belly will swell, and her thigh will shrivel. She will become a curse among her people. International Standard Version When he has had her drink the water, if she was defiled and had acted unfaithfully toward her husband, then the contaminated water that brings a curse will enter her and infect her, causing her abdomen to swell and her thigh to waste away. Then she is to be a cursed woman among her people. NET Bible When he has made her drink the water, then, if she has defiled herself and behaved unfaithfully toward her husband, the water that brings a curse will enter her to produce bitterness--her abdomen will swell, her thigh will fall away, and the woman will become a curse among her people. New Heart English Bible When he has made her drink the water, then it shall happen, if she is defiled, and has committed a trespass against her husband, that the water that causes the curse will enter into her and become bitter, and her body will swell, and her thigh will fall away: and the woman will be a curse among her people. JPS Tanakh 1917 And when he hath made her drink the water, then it shall come to pass, if she be defiled, and have acted unfaithfully against her husband, that the water that causeth the curse shall enter into her and become bitter, and her belly shall swell, and her thigh shall fall away; and the woman shall be a curse among her people. New American Standard 1977 ‘When he has made her drink the water, then it shall come about, if she has defiled herself and has been unfaithful to her husband, that the water which brings a curse shall go into her and cause bitterness, and her abdomen will swell and her thigh will waste away, and the woman will become a curse among her people. Jubilee Bible 2000 He shall give her, therefore, the water to drink, and it shall come to pass, that if she is defiled and has betrayed her husband, that the water that works the curse shall enter into her in bitterness, and her belly shall swell, and her thigh shall fail; and that woman shall be a curse among her people. King James 2000 Bible And when he has made her drink the water, then it shall come to pass, that, if she was defiled, and has done a trespass against her husband, that the water that causes the curse shall enter into her, and become bitter, and her belly shall swell, and her thigh shall rot: and the woman shall be a curse among her people. American King James Version And when he has made her to drink the water, then it shall come to pass, that, if she be defiled, and have done trespass against her husband, that the water that causes the curse shall enter into her, and become bitter, and her belly shall swell, and her thigh shall rot: and the woman shall be a curse among her people. Douay-Rheims Bible And when she hath drunk them, if she be defiled, and having despised her husband be guilty of adultery, the malediction shall go through her, and her belly swelling, her thigh shall rot: and the woman shall be a curse, and an example to all the people. Darby Bible Translation And when he hath made her to drink the water, then it shall come to pass, if she have been defiled, and have committed unfaithfulness against her husband, that the water that bringeth the curse shall enter into her, for bitterness, and her belly shall swell, and her thigh shall shrink; and the woman shall become a curse among her people. English Revised Version And when he hath made her drink the water, then it shall come to pass, if she be defiled, and have committed a trespass against her husband, that the water that causeth the curse shall enter into her and become bitter, and her belly shall swell, and her thigh shall fall away: and the woman shall be a curse among her people. Webster's Bible Translation And when he hath made her to drink the water, then it shall come to pass, that, if she is defiled, and hath done trespass against her husband, that the water that causeth the curse shall enter into her, and become bitter, and her belly shall swell, and her thigh shall perish: and the woman shall be a curse among her people. World English Bible When he has made her drink the water, then it shall happen, if she is defiled, and has committed a trespass against her husband, that the water that causes the curse will enter into her and become bitter, and her body will swell, and her thigh will fall away: and the woman will be a curse among her people. Young's Literal Translation yea, he hath caused her to drink the water, and it hath come to pass, if she hath been defiled, and doth commit a trespass against her husband, that the waters which cause the curse have gone into her for bitter things, and her belly hath swelled, and her thigh hath fallen, and the woman hath become an execration in the midst of her people. 1 Like 1 Share |

He was even betting that no one has ever read that portion!!! smiles! You needed attention, and you'll find Jobless ones to give you.. There's one thing I'm so sure of, no explanation(right or wrong) outside the way you thought you understood that portion would get your attention... So, why the stress? Keep on reading the Bible Jare-Joshua 1:8!! I'm even glad to know that you too read the Bible. So, we are not the only one in the race. 1 Like |

This thread is obviously a mischievous and lying attempt by atheists to label God as an abortionist when the Bible clearly shows he is not. I have given him the right translations from about 20 different Bible translations and none of them mentioned WOMB. I have also given him the words they were translated from so he can use them to prove me wrong and maintain his claim that they mean WOMB and not BELLY or ABDOMEN or BODY. I do know atheists love lying just to defend their worldview but common sense should tell them that its not proper to lie all the time especially when there is evidence to expose your lies with. I am done here. 3 Likes 2 Shares |

4everGod:Again you're not really saying anything. Her belly shall swell her thigh shall rot. What exactly do you think it means? It was clearly stated that the woman would only give birth if she was faithful. Meaning if the woman was unfaithful, the baby would not be born. I don't know how you want to twist this. 1 Like |

EyeHateGod: You mean dalaman and you as the liars who happens to be the godson of hardmirror? Yeah we already know that on your behalf. So when 20 translations say belly or abdomen and 2 translations erroneously say something else you would pick those erroneous ones simply because it supports your view about God. Suddenly you lose all knowledge and statistical intelligence when it comes to God right? When 20 people are saying the same thing and 2 are saying different what statistics teaches is that the 20 who happen to be more and saying the same thing cannot be wrong on the ration of 1:20 as against 1:2 Make una go learn una no go gree. Its to spew ignorance everywhere in the name of atheism |
Re: D by Nobody: 9:49am On Dec 21, 2016 |
EyeHateGod: dumbo for a thigh to fall away or waste away it means TO ROT. Argue all you want. The truth is out there for truthful minds to see. And since everyone knows you atheists to be liars then go figure. |
Re: D by Nobody: 9:52am On Dec 21, 2016 |
EyeHateGod: I edited what to my own taste? So you no longer know how to use google? If 2 are different from 20 which do you think is more accurate? Its a simple question. If 20 people come and tell you the same story and 2 people come and say something different would you assume that the 2 were saying the truth or that they may not have been present especially if 20 other different people are saying the same thing? When it gets to God you become suddenly unintelligent |
