James Rodriguez and Marco Verratti for Chelsea !!! Chelsea are likely to sign both Real Madrid's James Rodriguez and PSG's Marco Verratti as replacement for China bound Oscar and Marseille bound Mikel . But the Premier League side will be expected to fork out 70 million Euros for James Rodriquez and more than 30 million for the unsettled Verratti . Wednesday , Dec 21, 2016: Chelsea legend Lampard payed a visit to his former club earlier today as he watched on as the Chelsea players were put through their paces in west London. Lampard told Sky Sports in an interview : 'As a Chelsea man it is great to see, all credit to everybody there. The manager obviously changed the system after a defeat at Arsenal.Nobody would have fancied them to be anywhere near winning the league at that point and now they look the dominant team.I don't like to tempt fate but I can't see anyone who has got the consistency to close the gap, so I fancy Chelsea strongly now.'

Chelsea are after Arturo Vidal ! According to The Sun UK , Antonio Conte wants a reunion with Arturo Vidal, after working with the Chilean for three years at Juventus. Vidal only moved to Bayern Munich at the start of last season, but with Conte turning the Chelsea ship around spectacularly this season, a marquee midfield signing in Vidal could well be on the cards. And according to Spanish publication Don Balon, Chelsea have offered £42million to tempt Bayern to sell up. Vidal is 29  . And I don't think he has future at Chelsea and I don't think this deal will work .cc : jonbellion

ufuosman: Fabregas and Matic are good but we need better replacement for Mikel . And Verratti will provide good competition for Kante's place . Kante is the mainstay for Chelsea's midfield for now but a player with similar abilities could galvanize him to work harder and be more productive .Quality players bring healthy competition for a place in the team . Man Utd will bring another CB in January for 38 million though they have 5 already  . When you see another player coming to take your position , you'd be forced to work harder so you won't lose your place in the team .1 Like |

According to DailyMail, Steve Holland will leave Chelsea at the end of the season after being confirmed as the new England assistant manager The FA have confirmed Steve Holland as Gareth Southgate's assistant manager .
