Apparently worried by the effect of nuclear weapon, United State (US) has warned North Korea that any test of its weapons on South Korea would be met with immediate, effective and overwhelming response.

The warning was contained in a statement issued jointly by the US and South Korean governments, after the inaugural meeting of the Extended Deterrence Strategy and Consultation Group (EDSCG) in Washington, D.C.

The statement explained that officials from both countries had comprehensive and in-depth discussions on strategic and policy issues regarding extended deterrence against North Korea, especially on how to better leverage the full breadth of national power.
