Army Alerts On Escapee Boko Haram Members by marryjesus: 5:15am On Dec 23, 2016
The Nigerian Army announced, yesterday, that some Boko Haram members have escaped from their hideouts in Sambisa, Borno State and urged the public to be on the alert.

The army specifically urged residents of Adamawa, Borno and Yobe states to be extra-vigilant and be suspicious of strange people in their communities and strange movements.

In a statement by Acting Director of Army/Public Relations, Brigadier General Sani Kukasheka Usman, the army said “due to the ongoing final clearance and occupation of Boko Haram hideouts in Sambisa forest, quite a number of them are escaping the theatre of operation in the North East, to various parts of the country and elsewhere.

“Therefore, members of the public, especially residents of Adamawa, Borno and Yobe states, are, hereby, requested to be extra vigilant and conscious of strange movements or persons in the society.

“The public are also requested to report any suspicious person or group of persons to security agencies for prompt action. We wish to reiterate our commitment of clearing the remnants of the Boko Haram terrorists in all their suspected hideouts by the end of this year.”

Nice job by the army.
But I think what z militating against the war on insurgency z unnecessary Sympathy by the people that share the same ideology with BokoHaram who gives them cover and refuses to tip of the security forces.
Just the way the northern elites were very sympathetic with BokoHaram during GEJs tenure.
Bc I sincerely believe that over 80% of BokoHaram fighters are Northerners.

I thought they previously said they had surrounded the forest, so where is this coming from?
They already have a ready made excuse for their failure.
Very political army we have with more propaganda than professionalism
