The Headies award which has now been recognized as the most consistent and most prestigious award in Africa held her 2016 edition yesterday, 22nd December, 2016 and it was full of thrill, emotion, nostalgia, euphora and many more feelings that words can never really express.

The Eko Hotels Convention Centre being the venue for Headies 2016 was fully packed with celebrities and entertainment lovers, all waiting for some kind of recognition either for themselves or for their idols, as the case may be.

Last year, there was a lot of drama especially as regards the Next Rated category. This time around, we had Ycee, Tekno, Mr. Eazi, Humblesmith and Aramide all going head-t0-head for the same award.

Kiss Daniel amazingly went home with the highest number of awards having won 3 awards in the Headies 2016.

Next to Kiss Danile was Ill Bliss, Olamide and Dare Art Alade who grabbed 2 awards each from the 2016 Headies.

WIzkid still remains the artiste of the year while Olamide wof for Best Rap Single and Best street hip hop
