President Muhammadu Buhari has disclosed that the Nigerian Army has completely flushed out Boko Haram members from Sambisa forest in Borno state, seven years after the group gain prominence in the country.

Buhari, who disclosed the takeover of the long held fortress, Sambisa forest, from Boko Haram in a letter sent to the Nigerian troops fighting under Operation Lafiya Dole, said that the last camp of the group fell at about 1:35 pm on Friday when the terrorist flee after discovering that the troops were well armed.

While commending the Nigerian Army for their steadfastness to end the activities of the group from the country on Saturday, ordered the troops pursue the fleeing Boko Haram members and bringing them to justice.
