You should ask yourself, why are you celebrating a whitewashed and renamed pagan festival?

If we go by the Jesus story that the Shepherds were herding sheep when it happened, it can't be in December in the midst of winter. There's is a version that you may not accept, that Jesus was born something in March, which would make the shepherd story credible as they would be out herding by then.

As for 25 December, Yuletide, it's a celebration of the rebirth of the "Sun God," predating Jesus by thousands of years.

Anyways, "Sun God" is not far from "Son of God," and is easily synonymized.

Hello Irene. What does it mean to celebrate Christmas? Would a person be celebrating Christmas if they invited a few friends over on this particular evening for a feast of food and intelligent conversation? What if they did it on a Tuesday night in August?

Christmas, like any other holiday, is little more than an opportunity to take a break from the daily grind, to rest and refresh body and mind in the way most agreeable to the individual. If anyone believes that their saviour was born on this night several thousand years ago, that is only a happy and harmless coincidence.

In fact, while many people eagerly anticipate these breaks and seize the opportunity for relaxation that they present, there are those who feel that holidays of any kind are a waste of productive hours that should be spent making wealth, and some of these people are Christians.

At any rate, it should not matter to you what atheists or anyone else does on Christmas Day, since in reality Christmas is really just a pagan festival, having nothing at all to do with the good Christ, who may well have been born sometime in July.

This is a silly question, to be honest. Christmas is more or less a traditional festival.. Even the countries with very high percentage of irreligious people celebrate Christmas on a large scale. The things which resonate most about Christmas in these countries are Santa Claus, decoration, lights. Hell, even frosty the snowman gets mentioned a lot more than Jesus.
Besides, atheism is not a religion. It doesn't require my hatred of religions and practices. No god is going to burn me forever for celebrating with my friends. So...

stop lying.. i know of a greek girl, she does not go to church but she believes she is a christian by birth and believe in God. She told me many of their people do not go to church or practice Christianity but historically, they are christian by nature that why celebrate Christmas.

U know of a Greek girl?? And that proves what exactly??... In developed countries in the western world, Christmas is a traditional festival just like Thanksgiving in the US. Check all the major American TV stations, they all celebrate Christmas but the emphasis is not on Jesus. Even in Nigeria, many people go to a bar and enjoy themselves, they don't do anything remotely Christian during Christmas... It's a holiday, it's the end of the year...
