- Arik Air to pay $150 to affected passengers

- The airline declined compensating affected passengers

The Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) has sanctioned Arik Air Limited for contravening the provisions of the Nigerian Civil Aviation Regulations (Nig.CARs). The authority has fined the airline a sum of Six million naira, for ill-treatment on passengers at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport (MMIA) on Arik Air London services from Friday to Sunday, December 2 to December 4.

The authority was inundated with complaints of delay and inability to ferry the passengers’ checked – in luggage on the Airline’s services from London –Lagos from the 2nd, 3rd and 4th December, 2016.
