There has been a popular trend amongst luxury smartphones and that's the fact that luxury smartphones are mid range smart phones wrapped with rear gems, But gionee M2017 which is Gionee's luxury smartphone is an exception to this popular trend.

Gionee M2017 is another high end device form Gionee's marathon series, smartphones from Gionee's marathon series are known to feature large batteries. There is an observable increase in battery size as you ascend the chart of Gionee's marathon series with its Gionee m5 plus being an exception in this case. Gionee M2017 is packed with a massive 7000MAH battery, its a very big battery but its not the biggest In the market, Alcatel one touch xesis features a 10,000 MAH battery.

Below is a quick Review of this luxurious device from Gionee;

This device features a 5.7 inch curved edged Super Amoled Quad HD display with a 2560x1440 resolution, this device is covered with leather on the back, above and below its leather covering you will find gold or black coloured metallic strips.
Also the sensors and cameras on the back of this device are enclosed in a metallic frame with gold or black color.
Metallic strips are also found on the top and bottom on the front, you will also find its finger print scanner which doubles as its home screen together with two capacitive touch keys on both sides of the home screen button.
You are not obliged to use only the gold strip variant as this device also has a variant with black metallic strips.

This device features two rear cameras, 12MP and 13MP with 2x optical zoom. This device as features an 8MP front camera.

Talking about the hardware on this device, Gionee M2017 is far from being average. This device features 6GB of LPDDR3 ram, two 3500MAH battery which sums up to 7000MAH together with quick charge 3.0, an octa-core snap Dragon 653 processor: 4arm cortex A72 CPUs running at 1.95GHz and 4 A53 CPUs running at 1.44GHz
This device also features Andreno 510 for its GPU.
This device has a variant with 128GB of storage and another with 256GB of storage, storage on both variants are not expandable. This devices features USB 2.0 Type-C with OTG support. Gionee has joined other smartphones manufacturers in the no head phone jack policy. Gionee M2017 doesn't feature an head phone jack , you are therefore presented with two options which are far from being a dilemma, either you use USB adapters or you make use of wireless Bluetooth head phones.

This device is powered by android 6.0 marshmallow operating system with amigo 3.5 user interface.
