Governor Ambode of Lagos state can not stop working.He has performed beyond average.To me he is the only governor in Nigeria that is working.He does not make noise.His achievements speak for him.He has completed the construction of a 500m long bridge in Badagry.Disclosing the news,he said...

'The newly built Imeke-Ajido bridge in Badagry is now ready and open for effective use'.

'This 500-meter long bridge, with pedestrian walkway on both sides, will improve economic activities and enhance our tourism drive in Badagry'

Lol. Politics at work. The Imeke-Ajido bridge has been there for years. Ambode now shifting his attention to Badagry because of the recent discovery of oil deposits in the area. Only then did they conceive the ideas of turning badagry into a tourist hub and building a 5000-seat theatre house. So, this isn't a completion but maintenance as it had a lot of potholes. My very first test drive took place on this road to Sapo and back to Ajara roundabout. The surroundings of the extension of the bridge are dens for oil bunkerers who operate in the Seme-Benin axis and buttresses the facts that the Customs are incredibly corrupt and our borders are porous. Believe me, you can smuggle a thousand dead bodies into Benin republic as long as you hand the customs officers 100 naira. The community leaders, customs service and police force are all in on the smugglers but all take bribes. What's a country without borders? Anyway, Ambode should please extend the patching up to the Seme border to ease transportation. And just about 500m away (after MG filling station), there are some people always there to truck away the large deposits of sand in the area and I think this is environmentally hazardous. Not to mention the numerous dredging sites before Agbara and in the Badagry market. The case of the river under the Kara bridge in Ogun state drying up is portentous enough. Nature is being violated in the name of profiteering. Due Authorities should please look into these.

Definitely the best infrastructures oriented Governor so far, while Ayo Fashoye is the best stomach infrastructure governor so far. Ben Ayade is best talkative governor, so far.

that one does not have railings... its scary to walk on... but this new bridge has a very small pedestrian path..

Nigeria is a very funny country.
This is the sort of people (age wise, educational qualification and exposure) that should be ruling the country, but tribalism, religion and all other forms of awkward bigotry that have no place in modern society will ensure that we remain in a perpetual state of underdevelopment.
