The caretaker committee chairmen of three local government areas have been sacked by Jigawa state governor, Badaru Abubakar.
Alhaji Adamu Abdulkadir Fanini, the Secretary to the State Government, in a statement said the affected LGAs are Guri, Jahun and Birniwa local government areas.
The statement directed the sacked chiefs to handover the affairs of their respective council to the Directors of Administration and General Services, The Nation reports.
The government thanked the former council chiefs for their service to the state and wished them the best as they return to their respective jobs.
Though the statement did not disclose the ex-council chairmen offences it may not be unconnected with the budget crisis in their respective councils.
Jigawa state governor on Wednesday, December 28, met with some local government council chairmen till midnight and later directed the removal of the three council chiefs.
In August, 2016, Abubakar sacked the state commissioner for Land, Housing and Urban Development, Adamu Sarki.
The secretary to the state government said Badaru could terminate appointment of any political appointee if his service was no longer needed.
