South West Got Lion Share For Roads In 2017 Budget by Stingman: 10:17am On Dec 30, 2016 |
ABUJA: ...The combined South-South and South-East geo-political zones got N52.8 billion for road projects for the two regions, based on the Federal Ministry of Works’ budget. The South-West geo-political region got the lion share of Federal Government allocation for roads in the 2017 proposed budget with N67.9billion out of the total N205billion budgeted for the rehabilitation and construction of roads in the 36 states of the country and the Federal Capital Territory, FCT. http://www.vanguardngr.com/2016/12/budget-2017-s-south-s-east-get-n52-8bn-road-projects/ Does this surprise anyone why the SW are the MAIN supporters of ONE NIGERIA? You get more from the resources generated by others...What would we have if there were resource country? Every region would use what it generates... 1 Like |

So south east and south south are now one zone. Anyway those who don't like what the Minister of works in the person of Fashola is doing should go and form their country 4 Likes 2 Shares |

Geopolitically alone, SW is bigger than SS and SE... why is this a debate? Is it not just normal that the volume of water that a fat woman will need to bathe would be more than what a slim lady would use? They don start to cry again o. Are u people not enjoying 13% derivatives? 20 Likes 3 Shares |

It is expected as Lagos state alone in the SW region has more federal infrastructure than some geopolitical zone in the country. 7 Likes 1 Share |

Well we would need to check the entire budget breakdown of all ministeries to see if any region was actually marginalized. If the S/E was truly marginalized in a broader context then that would be terrible |

There got the lion 2016 also. Oh well, it is expected as the Minister is from that region. The main issue is for them to fully implement the budget because the so called budgeted roads in SE for 2016 is yet to be implemented. |
