Nigeria government is a joker, we are in 2017, they are still talking of implementing 2016 budget.

A departure from the old norm and a welcome development.

The Speaker of the House of Representatives made this appeal during the 2017 Budget presentation and for the first time, the Buhari administration listened to sound advice.

There will definitely be a delay in the pasaage and signing into law the 2017 budget, so for us not to stall the ongoing capital projects, it's best we continue to fund them via the 2016 budgets.

The next thing is to make sure that next year's budget is passed in time so there wouldn't be need for this special intervention as funds not spent in a budget year are meant to be returned to the TSA.

Kudos to the Finance team.

The most sensible comment so far.

Shows some people have an overview of what this is all about.

Happy new year.

So many foolish comments everywhere. Government is trying to ensure that funds is adequately pushed into infrastructural development and some dull brains are still complaining. Maybe you all want abandoned projects to litter the entire country

Extension of the implementation of 2016 budget simply means FG still have some projects they haven't carried out which are budgeted for in 2016 ,the extension till march gives room for these projects to continue before disbursing money for 2017 budget to such ministry.
If not so some people will pocket the money after they start receiving 2017 budget money
