It sounds like a problem with your phone not being able to get an IP address from the DHCP server (which kind of sucks) since your computer can do it. Have you tried restarting your phone? It sounds like a problem with the Wi-fi radio in your phone. Keep in mind that wi-fi radio's in phones are much weaker than their laptop counterparts because they are smaller in size (and cheaper). |

I guest am not the only one experiencing such problems. but I was able to solve mine, I turbo on a forum where people were experiencing same problems. its not a phone problem but an Android problem. You can read below..... Amogh Timsina December 29, 2014 at 2:00 pm maybe you didn’t configure it properly. Double check what you wrote on the boxes. REPLY 12 Som December 30, 2014 at 1:35 pm hello Amogh, i m facing the same issue in my xperia t2 ultra. i changed ip address to avoid conflict with any other device and this is letting the getting connected (meaning the ‘obtaining IP address’ message is gone and the status shows ‘Connected’) but i’m still not able to access internet. Can you please help? REPLY 12.1 Amogh Timsina December 31, 2014 at 7:43 pm Either the IP address you’ve assigned is conflicting with other devices or there is something wrong with your router’s settings. REPLY 13 Sunanda December 31, 2014 at 9:22 pm Amogh,,Mine is a Galaxy Note,Managed to get the IP address, but the net doesnt get connected! REPLY 13.1 Amogh Timsina December 31, 2014 at 11:18 pm post the screenshot of how you assigned the static ip. mail me on amg.at77@gmail.com REPLY 14 Tim January 3, 2015 at 7:13 am Static IP defeats the purpose of dynamic IP assignment. What is the fix to just make DHCP work the way it is supposed to work? I don’t believe android would say the solution is static IP only. REPLY 15 Mike January 13, 2015 at 7:22 pm The recommended solution did not work for me. However, I came across a comment suggesting that there is a problem with Android and some Belkin routers. As I had an oldish Belkin router I bought a new router (Netgear) and then everything worked fine. I appreciate that this is not a cheap solution, especially if it does not do the trick for you, but if like me you are despearte and nothing else works you may care to try it. REPLY 16 Aftab January 19, 2015 at 2:12 am thanks yaar, really helped me. REPLY 17 Priyanka January 21, 2015 at 3:06 pm Static IP entered so that it doesn’t conflict with the other devices connected. But still its not working. |
