As for the map it covers every city in nigeria as long as there is GSM coverage there. U are free to use any network of your choice.

How it works[/color]

Once the Tracking device is placed in a vehicle or other static or moveable asset, the user only needs a mobile phone to check its location. The tracker regularly updates its position from the Global Positioning System (GPS) satellite navigation system. Inside the tracker is a GSM modem/phone and a SIM card, so all you need to do is send a text message (SMS) to use the system. NO third party servers are required with the Tracker, so your locations are always secure.


For example, a text message containing the word “find” is sent to the vehicle’s Tracker mobile number. its good to say the map covers everywhere, but when the car is stolen and taken to a place where you dont have the street map, how will you tell the owner where the car is? Its great to have a system, but its also great to tell the truth about the limitations of the system, once again i ask you, how many cities do you have the street maps on this system, not just major roads but street level maps, how many cities?

Like i have said, the Map is everywhere in Nigeria as long as there is GSM coverage there. As for your question, If the Car is stolen, before getting to a place hwere you dont have network you would have disable the car. that is stop the car from moving from your mobile phone. ( It has this facility) As soon as this is done, then you track and then get to where the car is. We have heard success stories ever since we started.

Hey Paroe_frey, y not give Infineon a benefit of d doubt, he/she seems to be so sure of what he/she is saying and i have to beleive that if actually mobile phones are covered,d technology as well can cover and recover a vehicle if not for any special medium but borrowing d network of d mobile phone, @Infneon,so i can be able to stop d car as well if it is stolen anywhere and it wouldnt move an inch further?

This stuff works but i just think its expensive.My bro has it on his audi A4 and he can switch off the car from lagos even if i m in my home town in ogun state with the car.I m thinkin of gettin it for my eod.If the car can be switched off minutes after the car is stolen then it can be easily traced.My only question is if the thieves take ur phone from u (as its mostly done now to render u incommunicado),how do u then switch the car off or track the car.Since u said only the owner can track the car,it ll be difficult if ur phone s not w u or ur battery s down in which case the robbers might have gone far before u can do anything.
