Prominent Social Media Personality, Kayode Oshinubi Celebrates Academic Achievements In Grandstyle


A popular social media activist, an academician and a fast growing politician, Kayode Oshinubi marks his academic achievements. The Academic Summit tagged "Journey Towards Academic Excellence - Our Story", was aimed at ensuring Students and the Youths learn from the Convener's (Kayode Oshinubi) experiences through his academic journey. The programme which hosted all students from various secondary schools and higher institutions and also had Professors from different academic fields as speakers was held at Foursquare Gospel Church, Agric, Ikorodu, Lagos on Saturday. The keynote speaker of the event Professor Longe Olumide Babatope who spoke on the topic: "Seest Thou A Man", urged all academic pursuers to be more diligent, focused and determined in order to arrive at the destination of Excellence. Speaking to our correspondent, the convener of the event laid emphasis on the need for Nigerian Government to be more responsible by providing basic needs for an improved educational system in the country for a viable and productive society to be realised.

The Events which was planned by Riem Events and Entertainment brought the success of the educative, productive and inspiring summit to reality.

IN THE BEGINNING
Kayode Oshinubi was born 15 June, 1988 to the family of Mr and Mrs Adewale and Bola Oshinubi. The Oshinubis; a line a great men and women with business sagacity are from the ancient town of Iraye in Sagamu Local Government, Ogun State.
Kayode started his educational sojourn at the Young Nursery and Primary Schools, Ikorodu and left while in Primary 2. He resumed at the Star Nursery and Primary School, Agric, also in Ikorodu for the 93/94 session where he wrote the his Primary School Leaving Certificate exams.
United High School was his next port of call for educational impartation. This spanned through the year 2000 till 2005. His meticulous management of times as Class Rep prepared him for the days ahead in the Senior Secondary Class as he was appointed the school's time keeper in Senior Secondary Class 2. A year later, KAYODE was appointed the senior prefect of the school.
Kayode's stint as senior prefect was revolutionary and noteworthy in the school's history. In a school known to be a conclave of thugs, Kayode led the students into fighting their innermost fear and the stigma surrounding studentship of the school. This ensure that for a very long time, the school academic period was peaceful. He didn't just lead the school, Kayode built men and women of valour.
In 2003/04 session - through hard work, dedication to one's course and divine apportioning, Kayode became the overall best student of the school.
Kayode Oshinubi is an alumnus of the prestigious Ekiti State University, Ado Ekiti. A graduate of the Department of Mathematics in the self acclaimed Almighty Faculty - Faculty of Sciences.
Not one to bask in the euphoria of past achievements, Kayode wanted more. He proceeded 'without break' to bag his Masters of Science in Mathematics from the University of Ilorin during the 2014/15 academic session.
A BORN SERVANT
In 2008, as a pre degrees student of the then University of Ado Ekiti, Kayode was overwhelmingly voted for as the pre degree science governor. As a dedicated servant of the people, Oshinubi led his department with all vigour from 100 to 400 level without looking back.
While representing his level (and department) at the National Association of Science Students' Representative Council, Kayode - a 200 level student was appointed the chairman of House Committee on finance. It was a period when corruption became an alien in the faculty of science. A thoroughbred gentleman, Kayode ensured there was no sacred crow in the fight against misappropriation and embezzlement of funds.
A year later, KAYODE was elected as the speaker of the Representative Council. A tenure characterised with its emphasis (and of course, a show of) on probity, accountability and equality reviewed the constitution to cater for the desires and aspirations of the students of the faculty. It was indeed the people's voice. Also, the constitution was rebranded and made attractive when it was produced with paper backs as against the usual spiral bind covers. This made the constitution attractive the most apolitical student of the faculty. At a time that people were adopting innovation with the speed of light, faculty of science's constitution, under the leadership of KAYODE Oshinubi became the standard for the production of constitutions on campus.
Having heard the yearnings of EKSUITES for a new lease of life, Hon Kay, ad he was excellently called on campus, decided to vie for the office of the students' Union president. A job he was well prepared for. However, the divine will of God was to come to pass. The union which at that time was proscribed was not reinstated as promised by the powers that be, at the time.
To make a smooth switch for the next academic year for the students' government, the university's management thought it wise to set up a transition committee. Hon Kay served, as usual with vigour, as the financial Secretary of the committee. It is on record, that Kay was the only aspirant that served on the committee.
When the nation's clarion call sounded, a prepared Kayode responded with all this heart and he served his Father's land in Ogun State. Bells University, Ota was his primary place of assignment in 2013/14 and he served as the president of Bells' Corpers Forum.
A GOD'S LOVER
A man of purpose - a lover of God and a dedicated worker in the vineyard, KAYODE Oshinubi was led in the path of God and he hasn't departed from it. And we pray heaven upholds him that he continues on this path, Amen.
Kayode is a staunch member of the Foursquare Gospel Church, Worldwide. He served (and still in the service of) God and His people with all his heart. He was given so many opportunities, deservedly, to showcase his God's given leadership qualities in order to gather and lead God's people.
Notably, Kayode served as the Teens President of Foursquare at various times where he organised the teen's camp, ever. The former Isokan, Owutu and District Teen president served as the Vice President of final year students of the Foursquare Students' Fellowship in EKSU. This came on the heels of his astute leadership as Librarian and Academic coordinator of FSF, EKSU.
FEATHERS IN HIS CAP
A teen with a difference, KAYODE was named the Teen's personality of the year on 6th September, 2008.
He was decorated as the most influential NAASITE in 2013 for the 2012/13 academic session in EKSU.
