I Need A Honda Or Toyota For N1.1 Million by pak: 8:22pm On Nov 23, 2009
hey fellow 'landers, Just want to know if there's any dealer out there who can bail me out. Though I've made some previous enquiries with most turning out with -ve responses.

However, I think I should turn to Nairaland before giving up. my request is simple, I need a car by december

and this are my conditions

1) It must be a Toyota or Honda brand
2) It's make must be 2003 and above.
3) It must NOT be 'naija used'
4) My budget is N 1.1 million

Note: Every other xteristics does not matter, I don't really care if its manual or auto, leather or fabric, alloy wheels or not etc.
but then it must be in very good conditions cos am not an expert on cars and I wouldnt want much trouble.

I hope to pick the car by 2nd week in december if I find a willing dealer. Thanks

You can reach me on 07094061170

Ooops, i forgot to add, I prefer sedans !
Re: I Need A Honda Or Toyota For N1.1 Million by Fhemmmy: 8:35pm On Nov 23, 2009
I think it is better you just give up.
You sure asking for so much for 1.1M Naira = 7100$$, out of which you wanna buy, ship and clear a 2003 toyota or honda product.
Good luck.
Re: I Need A Honda Or Toyota For N1.1 Million by pak: 8:44pm On Nov 23, 2009
@Fhemmy,

dat sounds similar to the response I'v been getting (but not so curt anyway).

Stiil believe its possible somehow, though I've made up my mind that come dec, I'lll just use what I have to get what i can but what is stated above is really what I want.

6950$ * 155 Niara = 1.05M + 245K clearing = roughly 1.3M so the dream is yet to come true.

Re: I Need A Honda Or Toyota For N1.1 Million by Fhemmmy: 9:59pm On Nov 23, 2009
Adexfem is a popular clearing agent on Nairaland, he is reliable and trustworthy and here is his contact.

805-634-5590 or 803-801-3408

If you willing to clear the ride yourself, we could work something out, however, you will have to deposit more than regular deposit.
More info? Fhemmmy@gmail.com or Femmmy.Moto@gmail.com

@Indie

apologies to Kia and picanto owners

but that stuff (picanto ) looks like a cardboard box on wheels.

Thanks for the concern anyway but sometimes I travel like 8hrs on a stretch

and I dont want to be caught doing an 100 ( or God forbid, a 120 ) in that car espexciallyy with

the situation of our interstate roads.

@Chi_CHi.

Thanks too but as I said, I dont think I want to settle for anything less than '03

though I know might need to up what I have a lil' but then I still believe I can get lucky

Its christmass season you know !

Aaaaagh tough question.

Thank God they didnt ask me dat in Jamb.

On a more serious note, I have never given much attention to Nissan.

Really dont know much bout their products as regards durability, ease of maintenance, reliability and their resell value considering the peculiarity of our environment.

These were the factors that made me choose Toyota and Honda

Maxima cars are very very strong. They have best of designs and high engine capability. I have its 2002 in which the interior looks more optioned than any other brand within the same year of different other makes. I have seen some of them on the streets and well they are performing well. If interestedsmiley let of know

What u r going to get as per the price of the $6900 is a pre-order; that is to say, you pay that amount first before the car is shipped, which is not a problem. Is there anyone that u can hold responsible if the car fails drive test?

bro, pls I don't get.

Could you really xplain your offer in layman's terms. As in what are you really offering ?
Re: I Need A Honda Or Toyota For N1.1 Million by ib612(m): 12:59am On Nov 28, 2009
@Pak:
What i mean is that the price you mentioned is the amount you'll pay the exporter before the car is shipped. This term is known as pre-order, which means your money is used to finance the purchase of the car; which in itself is not a bad business. That's why u'll get it that cheap and how good well it performs is another thing entirely.
The second part of my gists: who represents the exporter in 9ja. Who are you gonna hold responsible if the car is not a good quality or doesn't drive well. You need to ask if the seller have any connection to anyone in 9ja or who do you discuss with as it relates to the car performance.

I think u dont have to get involved in that kinda conversation.
Let the buyer and the seller figure that out.
What i see in your post is a way to discredit the seller's offer and that aint kool at all.
There are enuf buyers in Nigeria for us all without trying to make other sellers look bad.

Are sure you interpreted what you've read about what i said correctly?
You may have an opinion on whatever you've read. It doesn't count as a fact. Did i in anyways implied that the seller is anything of what you interpreted it to mean.

Tell me where i discredit the seller. You added your own advise as you deem fit and i did likewise. I'm not into such low level activities and will never be. I'm not in anyways in direct competion with the seller. Try to read some of my contribution on nairaland

Here is the rule, there are some transaction that it is better to stay off, or if you cant stay off, no need to make a comment that will make it seems like you wanna flag.

Eeeehn, You guys just started a discussion that caused blood to flow faster in my veins and then suddenly left me stranded and started talkin bout christmas, santa and snow  tongue.

I don't think there's any issue of arguments here. The reason why 99% of us Nairalanders visit the site is becuase of the wealth of Information on offer by those who seem to have more experience in the areas under discussion than us (and sometimes those with less).

What ib612 raised is something I consider a SERIOUS issue that warrants second thoughts.
It will definitely hurt (in a BIG, BIG way) to see all my savings for the past two years go up in flames on the purchase of a deadwood car.
On the flip side , I believe there's a walk around (as in a sort of guaranty for buyers), I do a bit of marketing and there's nothing that excites me more during presentations than when I'm asked questions about the viability of more offers, its always a great chance to allay fears and sell your package more effectively.

I think thats what the marketers here should do and also buyers who have experience in such deals is to make clarifications and really explain how these things work. It going to give potential buyers more confidence and definitely increase business
Thanks
