Arsenal will meet Southampton in the 4th round of FA cup.
Southampton sent out Arsenal in the league cup.
FA cup remains Arsenal one of the hopes for a medal this season.

SHANE LONG is backing Southampton to KO Arsenal for the second time this season after booking an FA Cup fourth round date with the Gunners.

Long scored a dramatic stoppage time winner in Wednesday’s third round replay triumph at home to Norwich .
Claude Puel’s men have already dumped Arsenal out of the EFL Cup en route to the semi-finals and Long is targeting a repeat when the sides clash at St Mary’s on January 28.
Republic of Ireland striker Long said: “It would be brilliant to have another cup run.
“We always seem to meet Arsenal in the cup but it’s going to be a great game and hopefully it will be a big turn-out and the fans will get us through that one.
“They’re a good side and I think they might make a few changes as well, which they normally do, and it could be an evenly contested game.
“We’re still in with a shout by keeping ourselves in the competition and we’ll still take every game as it comes.
“There were eight changes against Norwich and a lot of young faces coming into the team who are working hard in training and deserved their chance.
“These cup runs give them a chance to show their worth and I felt they did a brilliant job.
“It gives us an opportunity to get a few goals and a run of form, and after our league form it’s nice to get a win and we’ll try to kick on from here.”
Long’s goal – only his second of the season – was virtually the last kick of the game and he admits he was relieved to spare Saints from having to play extra-time.
He said: “Both teams have a busy schedule so I think they might have even celebrated that we won the game in 90 minutes!
“It’s a hectic month for us with a lot of games and we didn’t need 30 more minutes. We’re still in three competitions which means we’re in with a shout.”

On Saturday evening Arsenal visit resurgent Premier League rivals Southampton in the fourth round of the FA Cup.
Southampton had become known as one of the most inconsistent teams in the Premier League this season. However, four wins in their last five outings in all competitions has lifted spirits among Saints fans. In fact, the Saints have won their last three home games, without conceding a goal.
The Saints will be buoyed by a 1-0 win at Liverpool in the semi-final second leg of the EFL Cup on Wednesday night, which saw Claude Puel’s side make it through to the final of the competition.
The team from the south coast had eliminated Arsenal in the previous round with a 2-0 win at the Emirates Stadium. That win was one of three achieved over Arsenal in the last five meetings, with the Gunners recording just one win.
The Saints are unbeaten against Arsenal on home soil in the last five meetings. However, they have failed to beat Arsenal in their four clashes in the FA Cup, suffering three defeats in the process.
Arsenal’s form has improved of late and seen Arsene Wenger side win five of their last six games in all competitions. The Gunners have also been prolific scorers of late, finding the net at least twice in their last five matches.
In the last round, the Gunners made hard work of a 2-1 win over Championship Preston, with Olivier Giroud scoring a late winner to give Arsenal the win. Last weekend’s 2-1 victory over Burnley was the first game in six that Giroud had not found the net. The French striker will be looking to add to his goal tally in this clash.
Team News
The home side have a few injury issues heading into this clash. Full-backs Jeremy Pied and Matt Targett, along with midfielder Sofiane Boufal and striker Charlie Austin look set to miss out on this clash.
The Saints also have a major doubt over centre-back Virgil van Dijk, while the likes of Jay Rodriguez, Steven Davis and James Ward-Prowse are also injury doubts.
Arsenal head into this clash with midfielder Santi Cazorla and winger Theo Walcott through injury, while Mohamed Elneny is at the Africa Cup of Nations and Swiss star Granit Xhaka is suspended. Defensive pair Mathieu Debuchy and Per Mertesacker are back in training after injury.

Saints remember, " if you are asked to go one mile, offer to go two" You have beaten Liverpool, add Arsenal to that list and end the only title hopes of the gunners have you have done to the red and will also do to the devils.
