Differentiate between destiny and fate?.
Can destiny be change?
Can someone's destiny be revealed through the act of palmistry, as a Christian is it good to believe in such things.
Like the story of Jabez(sorrowful child) his mother named him Jabez, not God. Who chose that destiny for him, his mother or God.

Destiny & fate are basically the same, they mean a predetermined future.

Destiny/fate can definitely be changed because it is God that determines the future. Jeremiah's revelation @ the potters house clearly reveals this (Jeremiah 18).

As for palmistry & other forms of divination, they are strictly forbidden to God's children, (Deuteronomy 29:29).

Jabez was named by his mother not God. Just like Benjamin who was named Benoni (son of my sorrow) by his dying mother but his father changed his name to Benjamin (son of my right hand) Genesis 35:18.

Theistically speaking God is fate/destiny. Fate cannot be altered. If it can be changed then you would have been able to decide your gender before you came into the world.

fate-destiny requires faith to believe in it. no one knows for sure. fate/destiny is a more religious(which works with faith) term rather than rational.

in rational term we would use coincidence(which works with chance) so while those who believe in God uses destiny, others use coincidence
