I've been tackling this problem n I'm arriving at 21 instead of 15... x-3 directly varies as the square of y and x=5 when y=2. find x when y is 6 |

21 is the correct answer not 15
X-3=ky²
K is the constant of proportionality
When x=5,y=2
5-3=4k
K=1/2
When y=6
X-3=1/2x6²
X is 21 |
