Man commits suicide over debt, unpaid salaries



Ado-Ekiti—Frustrated by unpaid salaries and huge debt, a Level 12 officer, Tope Afolayan, has committed suicide. Afolayan, a native of Ara-Ekiti in Ijero Local Government Area, was a Principal Executive Officer, PEO, in the Office of Accountant General until he decided to take his life, last week. The deceased, who was also a final year law student of Ekiti State University, EKSU, is survived by a widow, who is a teacher at a public school in Ado-Ekiti, and three children. Afolayan was also said to be an interpreter at a Christ Apostolic Church, CAC, branch in Ekute area of Ado-Ekiti. - See more at:
