A reputable hotel situated in Ikoyi Lagos State has vacancy for Chief Financial Controller

CHIEF FINANCIAL CONTROLLER
• Will be responsible for the full financial management and financial control of the hotel.
• Produce financial reports, analyses the reports, report trends and undertake immediate corrective action.
• Provide substantial cost control for the hotel operations to meet all set targets.
• Manage the finance and accounts function and department.
• Mentor and provide leadership to the staff in the finance and accounts department.
• Provide effective tax planning and tax management of hotel tax affairs.
• Have a good grasp of local laws and regulations.
• Provide monthly management accounts and annual financial reports.
• Oversee the internal and external audits of the hotel’s operation and accounts.
• Lead the preparation of the hotel annual budget.
• Must be first line protector of hotel assets and revenues.
• Must be knowledgeable in hotel operating systems such as micros, opera, Fidelio, sun system etc
• Must have worked in a senior position in the financial function of a leading hotel for at least five (5) years
PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES
• Must be personable.
• Must be willing to work in a team as a contributing team member.
• Must have strong leadership skills to be the no. 2 in the hotel.
• Able to act as the Acting General Manager in the absence of the hotel GM.
• Must be pro-active.
• Must be able to delegate effectively and train subordinates.
• Must be able to institute a succession plan in the finance department.
