The evil that comes with crude oil though...

Until we truly diversify our economy and go back to exporting agricultural products, we will forever be stuck in this vicious circle.

Sorry to say, but your proposition about exporting agric products will even lead us to more poverty, instead we should export value added goods from our agric produce, like high quality chocolate instead of exporting cocoa just like that, or palm oil and cooking oil instead of just the palm fruit.

NO country gets rich by exporting just agric produce in their raw form, Senegal and Uganda are reference points for you.

Thank you for your contribution tho, it has more sense than the others contributing

I mentioned diversification and that surely ain't just about agriculture...

All those things you also mentioned like palm oil, chocolates and others, they are still products of agriculture anyway you look at it...

But you did get my drift so it's all good...

I wonder the kind of brains most of the ppl above me have though...

This is our country and we always know the truth.
Bush burning abi na wildfire
If I hear! this has nothing to do with this matter at all
It is quite obvious that the bombing of the pipeline was a planned deal.

Must it be Agriculture, can't we invest in technology(it's more sustainable and lucrative) by sending our youths to countries like china( who pretends to invest in our economy) to acquire skills in basic tech manufacturing In areas like info tech, automobile, aviation, electricals etc.(,The government can also partner with manufactures in the east)The government can then set them up by providing the machines to start production, this will boast the economy, because the huge amount we use to import machine parts will be saved,it will also create employment for Nigerians. We have the resource to do it.fish, grasscutter, snail and goat farming are just waste of time and resources,it will and has never been of any help to the youths and the economy at large.lets diversity our economy in Technology, this is the new wave in the World largest economy.
