There are two reasons for swearing in taking place in senegal and at this time.
1. Ecowas does not want to invade Gambia. It needs a serving President to invite it in to keep "law and order" A swearing in, in Gambia might need them to shoot their way in, representing a breach of Gambian sovereignty.
2. The swearing in was delayed to allow the last foreign tourists ( UK and Holland) leave the country on Thomas Cook planes.
