The President does not ask permission to deploy troops. He only needs NASS if he needs to declare war

I have reproduced Section 5 (4) (a)&(b) of the constitution for you below. Read again and tell me if the approval of the Senate is only needed for the declaration of war or also for external deployment of the armed forces/troops.

(4) Notwithstanding the foregoing provisions of this section:-

(a) the President shall not declare a state of war between the Federation and another country except with the sanction of a resolution of both Houses of the National Assembly, sitting in a joint session; and

(b) except with the prior approval of the Senate, no member of the armed forces of the Federation shall be deployed on combat duty outside Nigeria.

You don't know how stvpid you sound right now?
The rule of law and due process is the only thing that keeps a society from total chaos and anarchy. It must not be sacrificed on the altar of tribalism, nepotism and stvpidity.

Keep cheering buhari on, his policies would soon affect you directly.

don't mind that slowpoke, he didn't even think of what use would it be if those men die in Gambia, of what cause or importance will it be for the country? Some stupi.d decisions African leaders make sometimes erh

Enlighten me please. Where is the threat to Nigerian security from the electoral impasse in Gambia? So much that he will not abide by constitutional provisions?

Section 5 (4) (a)&(b) of the constitution is reproduced for you below. Note the bold. Meanwhile u may want to go back n read my full response, u only quoted the first part.

It is only Ipod that knows what is called rule of law abi?

On Jammeh's issue, sane Nigerians support PMB's action while haters can keep doing what they are very good at -- hating.
Fortunately we know the region where they are from -- the desolate region of red mud and gully erosion

Support for Buhari's action on Jammeh is not the issue. There are laid down constitutional procedures for carrying out certain actions including external deployment of the armed forces/troops. No sane Nigerian supports a deliberate constitutional breach. There is therefore no need for the tribal bigotry with which u jumped in to support one and castigate the other except Nigeria is now a lawless sole administration. Please read and be guided:

The Deputy Senate President, Ekweremadu only stated the obvious that d action of the President has breached the Nigerian Constitution and that is unacceptable.

is nigeria's national security under threat because jammeh refused to step down?

This is why Nigeria can never be good, even when its unlawful to do this, yet his kinsmen are supporting him because he is their own. Not until we all unite against evil, which I'm sure can never happen, things will always remain bad in this country.

Obviously,. . . the president is more informed on the threats to the nation than you and I who do not have the benefit of intelligence briefings and assessments.
