Your priority is your idol. Your idol is your god. The desire to taste, to get to know and to enjoy often becomes a propensity. A propensity is a craving for enjoyment or a sensation.

Man often makes himself a slave to his idol. His idol are his desires which he derives pleasure in.

This thread is sequel to the a thread entitled the three important things men think about. It is disheartening to know where the desires of many men today lie: money, sport, woman, etc. All of which we must leave when we depart this life.

Some commented they do not think about women. They talked of their disdain for women, secretly expecting to be admired for that, whereas they admit they think obsessively about money. They even boast of it.

And truly the thinking of majority of men revolves around these things. If there's a man whose thinking is different form this fundamental pleasurable ends he better keeps his ideals to himself alone. The society derisively considers such a person unmanly, weak, dweeb, misfit, failure, uninteresting, backward, dull.

We should not bother to worry why there's so much hardships everywhere today. We should not be surprised to see defects in every spheres of life. Broken homes, loss of innocence, lack of trust, betrayer, disharmony...

In the last days, men will become lovers of themselves, lovers of money, pleasure and power. Where do we place God - by whose grace we are able to breathe? And we want God to make us his priority!

Man will always be a slave to his desires. For some, it is the desire for earthly distinction. They want to become famous, distinguished fellows. The bottom line of these desires is the love of self. Not the general welfare of mankind in general.

This thread has covertly opened our eyes to our inner self, our real self; because the things that occupy our minds most often is our god.

We have all lost the united goal for the kingdom of heaven. No wonder the world is at it is today. A man is simply defined by what he makes his priority.

No more love, peace and joy. What now flourish is war, restlessness, exploitation, lust, envy, greed, domination, oppression, discord, mad craving for power, gluttony, discontent, ego, etc etc

We are the designer of our destiny.
