]According to Pastor Wole Oladigun. In page 14 of his best seller. YOUTHS ARISE+ TAKE YOUR PLACE IN DESTINY. Anything inside of us is a pointer to what God has called us to do. And we are on earth for a purpose. Mine job here is to take us deeper into the topic. DISCOVERING OUR LIFE PURPOSE.

Researchers like Myer-Briggs, David Keirsey, Merilyn Bates, Otto Kroeger, Janet M. Thesen have proved ones life purpose (area, zone, etc) is a function of his/her personality and brain hemisphere preference.

To help us understand better. Personality is a part of ones wiring that determine. Whether todays dreams of career and service become tomorrows night mares.


My mentor told a story of one guy. Whose hobby is polishing english. Making write up simple and interesting to read. He decide them to pursue a career in journalism. After school. He land a land, as an editor with a publishing company. In line with his job description. Every working day. He took his works assigned to him. Go into his office. And do that which he knows how to do best. Best his appraisal is always good. His boss decide to promote him. To become a manager. Which his promotion comes with higher pay.
But this happen. After 3 weeks, he resigned. Went to another company. And land another job like his former job. Because his mangerial job is giving him a night mare. He is contented working alone. But his managerial job means he spends most of his working hour making calls. Receiving calls, having meeting with clients (editors).

From this story, we can deduce some people are project oriented. While others are people oriented.

When we ask a project oriented person. To undertake jobs, that requires meeting people. That person will feel suffocation, being a misfit, etc. The same goes with asking peoples oriented person to undertake a job that demand working alone all the time.


These people oriented people and projected oriented people are commonly refered to as EXTROVERTS and INTROVERTS, respectively.

Neither extroverts or introverts is better than the other. Every one is unque on his/her own. The difference is on where they go to find energy. And where they focus most of their concentration.

While Extroverts find their energy in things and people. Being pulled by this outer life of interraction. They spend less time with thoughts and concepts.

Introverts find energy in inner world of ideas. Which results in them. Requiring less from the outside world. Which is to say, they focus their energy inwards. They're energized by times, when they can be alone to ponder on thougts. Let their minds wonder. They can work contentedly by themselves on a job. They prefer sending emails and notes. Instead of talking directly with people.

Which is to say, while extroverts are outies. Their strengths being aimed outward to interact with the world. Introverts are innies, with an introvert. What you see is just a shell. They tend to reserve the strongest part of their personality focus inward, out of the world view.

Now on brain hemisphere preference. Brains have 2 separate but connected halves. known as the left hemisphere and right hemisphere. And we all (both children, adults, youths, students, workers) have preference for one over the other.

While left side of brain handles sequential, logical, rational thoughts. Memorizing, spelling, vocabulary, language and mathematical formulas comes easily to it (left side of brain). So do following rules, making decisions based on logic, proof and facts. It (left brain side) deal with the world, the way it is. Its reality and rules. Helps one adjust to fit their rnvironment.

Right side of brain is in charge of creativity and feelings. Instead of dealing with the world. The way it is, right brain thinking looks at the way. Things could be. Which is to say, Right brain hemisphere is innovative.


Now imagine a situation, where a right brain thinker is in a job that requires cramming, memorizing, all the time. He/she shall be having headaches, fatigue, burnout, frequent illnesses. Not to mention procrastination, frustration, mistakes, poor concentration, moodiness, memory problem. And a pretty low view of herself/his self. Which are the proven consequencies of forcing oneself. To use the other side of the brain, In opposition to his/her natural brain preference. For we all have preference for one brain hemisphere. Over the other.

From the above depositions, we can deduce. We have RIGHT BRAINED and INTROVERTED PERSONS. RIGHT BRAINED and EXTROVERTED PERSONS. LEFT BRAINED and INTROVERTED PERSONS. And LEFT BRAINED and EXTROVERTED PERSONS.

Experience and research have shown many Left brained and extroverted persons are very successful in Business and profession involve; Negotiating, Leadership, Goal setting and decision making. Administration.

Right brained and extroverted persons in fields that involve Trouble shooting, Repairs, Mechanics, Starting new ventures-entrepreneuring, Self directed activity (consultant, small business owner), Marketing, Public relations,

Left brained and introverted in ventures that involve Lecturing, Researching, Management,
Public speaking.


And right-brained and introverted in careers, fields, ventures, etc. That involve: Computer Programming, Intrapreneurship, Guiding, counseling, pastorial activities.
Resource specialist, consulting, self directed work situations. Designing new things.

The question is which one is you. Left-brained and extroverted, right-brained and extroverted, left-brained and introverted or right-brained and introverted.

Someone says, discover your purpose in life and potentiala. Discover your business. And I believe same to be true. For when you know your potentials. You know the areas, you will excell if you acquire competency and exposure in that area.

Every one that want to become rich/ wealthy need to self. What I'm I to offer my generation or the world. Because key to wealth making is serving others. supplying/meeting other peoples wants/needs. Or giving to ones society, generation, community. As they'll say it in religous circles. And the best tool to serving ones generation is ones set of strength (talents, gifts, personality, brain hemisphere). I mean to say, the tool to wealth making with the highest return on investment is ones set of skill.

The left-brained and introverted people. In fields, etc that involve; Rearching, Diagnosing, Accounting, book keeping, Engineering, Lecturing, Acting, Public Speaking.

And the right-brained and introverted people in careers/endavours that involve; computer programming, Composing, guiding, counseling, pastorial activities, self directed work situations (resource specialist or consulting), designing new things.


Which explains why, Joe Abraham, one of my mentor, refer to these people as; OPPORTUNISTS, BUILDERS, SPECIALISTS and INNOVATORS respectively.

Reasons Joe Abraham refer to the classification of people we have here as, Opportunists, Builders, Specialist and Innovators is because of their characteristic.

The opportnunist have the following characteristics. They have the tendency to make as much money as possible. Think quick money-making deal, a real estate quick-flip, or an IPO.

The Buiders are driven, cold, rutheless and calculating. They are the ultimate chess player in the game of business. Always looking to be two or three moves ahead of the competition. Loves building a business from the ground up.

The specialistd tends to stick with an industry for 15-30 years. Build strong expertise but can struggle to stand out in a crowded market place of competitors.

While the innovators have the tendency to build a business around an accidentally stumbled across breakthrough invention, recipe, concept, system, product, etc.

The question now is, where do you as a person belong, among these groupings, Left-brained and extroverted, right-brained and extroverted, left-brained and introverted or right-brained and introverted.

Someone says, discover your potential and purpose in life. Discover your business. And I believe same to be true. For when you know your potentials. You know the areas, you will excell if you acquire competency and exposure in that area.
