Phillipe Coutinho has signed a new deal with Liverpool in a five-year deal that ties him down to the Reds till 2022 and interestingly makes him the current highest-paid player in Liverpool and even one of the most-paid players in the English Premier League.

His decision to pen the new long-term deal was confirmed on Wednesday morning even though Paris Saint-Germain and notably Barcelona were interested in the midfielder.
