Harrison Tare Okiri, popularly known as Harrysong, is a singer, music director, Voice trainer, songwriter and instrumentalist who rose to fame after his tribute song to Nelson Mandela won the "Most Downloaded Callertune Award" at The Headies 2013.

The Reggae Blues Crooner was on January 27 arrested by Five Star Music over charges of fraud and breach of contract. It would be recalled that Harrysong announced his exit from Five Star Music last November,2016 to set up his own record label Alterplate, and this has started a cold war with the record label over the breach of contract. But Harrysong severally had denied, having any issues with his former label owners, claiming that the quest to express himself in a new platform informed his decision to part ways with his former management.
Harrysong is one of the African Artiste who will always find a way to redefine music; his talent knows no bound when it comes to music in general.

Why Harrysong might Flop with Alterplate
1. Harrysong with no doubt is believed to have proven himself as a songwriter, music director and even a voice trainer. It was said that he had written Kcee’s Okpekete, Limpopo and Pullover, but have you taken time to review the lyrical content of those songs? Does it portray any piece of good art as a song writer, are those songs standing the test of time? Those questions are for you to analyze.
2. Going through Harrysong’s career till date, our opinion amongst the Boxanalyst Crew is that Harrysong is not yet an A-List Artiste, yes he has been there and has debut hit songs that rocked the airwaves, but only that of “Raggae Blues” was real Hit, and then you begin to ask yourself does he have what it takes to become successful over time or will he be hit with the “Failure after Quitting Label syndrome”
3. He left Question Mark for Five Star and recently has call it quite with Five Star Music, It obviously shows that Harrysong has this thing of not honouring contract, you can’t rely on him to deliver, which as an entrepreneur is bad for business, and we hope it doesn’t affect his Career.
