The drive to encourage consumption of Made-in-Nigeria products and push local products beyond the borders of the African continent to niche markets across the globe now has a strategic solution in Cokodeal. cokodeal.com is an eCommerce platform where buyers and sellers trade in Made-in-Nigeria products.

According to its founder and CEO, Mike Dola, the platform removes some of the challenges that players in the informal sector experience such as market inaccessibility, limited market information, sub-standard product packaging, unnecessarily high charges and obsolete or unguarded regulations to mention a few.

He explained that Cokodeal is positioned to give visibility to local manufacturers and SMES and make it easier for MDAs to identify and shortlist potential suppliers quickly.

The platform is also built in such a way that it can easily pick the geo-location of prospective buyers and offer competitive prices of products in the denominating currency of their respective locations – so potential buyers of Made-in-Nigeria products who live in South Africa can see the pricing in Rand and compare with existing products found locally in South Africa.

“Cokodeal is the pioneer ecommerce for Made-in-Nigeria products & raw material for exports. Cokodeal is the largest promoter for goods locally produced in Nigeria. We generate the highest promotion on Twitter for Made-in-Nigeria goods and constantly share our knowledge base as a technology business platform on how we can drive sales for manufacturers and help them create a digital market structure from the experience we have gathered over the years selling for manufacturers,” said Mike Dola, founder and CEO.

Consumers that come on Cokodeal have the luxury of choosing from many merchants selling identical products. This gives customers the opportunity to compare goods across different sellers and get the best deal.

“Items on cokodeal are cheaper, as we don’t stock any imported items and don’t carry the additional cost of skyrocketing foreign exchange values. These are products sourced locally across different states in Nigeria. Most retailers prefer to source on Cokodeal because it provides them with enough margins to still make profit,” Dola said.
