Mr. Akpan moved round to share the examinations paper, while some other teachers in the hall helped in sharing answering paper.
I knelt at the front of
the hall for about 15
munites, before the
principal called on me to join the rest of the students.
But before i even made an attempt to write the exams, mr. Akpan came closer to asked me many questions as he came
closer to where i sat.


" why did you intrude the examination hall without my permissions ?", mr. Akpan asked


" am sorry sirr, i was just running after uduak when she told me the exams as
started ", i replied sighing


"0ya come out from that seat. Follow me to a new seat ",
he mentioned and i followed him without hesitating or
arguing with him.


He changed my sitting position to where i had my best
friends.
Emeka was at the front of uduak, while
i sit beside them. The
exams started as mr.
Akpan gave a starting
order for the exam to
start.
Just as the exams was about starting after the principal gave advices and warning, the whole
long hall muted like
the grave yard.
The first paper we wrote was economic.
The questions were
difficult to answer, as
some students sharperly bring out
hiding paper.
Uduak who sat by my
left hand side peeped
to check if any teacher was around, as she slowly slid her hand under her skirt.

" ahhh, what are you doing ?. Are you self- servicing yourself in the exam hall, instead of you writing ", i'd asked when i saw put
her hand in between
her legs.


" idiot focus on your paper and stop talking. Perhaps, i guess you might have taken your time to read last night ?", uduak ask, as she kindly brought out a piece of paper out, from her pants.


" na where you go last night ?. Why you come the do exam malpractice here ", i asked uduak.


Instead of writing we used that moment to
to ask ourselves silly questions in the examination hall.
Emeka on the other hand didnt care to listen to our discussing.
Emeka was very busy writing as if he wanted pushing to attend a meeting. Mr. Akpan head us discuss and if slowly came closer but we smartly kept quiet and focus on the paper. I couldn't say a word when some stood summarized their paper and arrange them to summit.
I decided focusing on my exam question paper. I wrote as if i never find it difficult to write.
Uduak tapped me and i quickly turned to warn her.


" prince, i need answer number 8 pls", uduak whispered to me.


Thank God, i wrote everything with the short period of time we had.
I gave uduak expos when i had finished writing my own answers. Emeka later came closer to peep my write up when the principal ordered everyone to summit their answer sheet.
After the exams, precious the new comer in our class came closer as i made intension of going to miss grace hostel.


" prince why do you always like going to the hostel during school hours ?". Precious asked me but i didnt have time


"ermm, i hope exams is finished for today, pls kindly go home if you dont have any important speech ", i had told her and walk away.


Precious ran behind me. She stopped me and start questioning that she heard rumor that am dating miss grace, uduak, sexy p, short damsel. I was suprised on what she opened her mouth to pronunced.


" and so, whats your business with that na ?. Did it involve you ?. See fine one place 0o!", i warned her and walk towards miss grace door, while precious when back .


From the initials, i had thought about not coming to meet miss grace in the house.
Perhaps i was right because by the time i checked the door, it was locked.
I waited patiently on miss grace to return from wherever she had went.
But all my staying was just in vain, as she didnt come back by that time after the exams.
Uduak and i walk home discussing about the exams stuff.
when i went home that afternoon, an expected suprise happened.

The night before the examination day, i had spent hours reading my books thoroughly.
I put a touch light in my mouth, drop a bowl of cool water beside the chair i sat.
I read my books to an extent that i started memorizing every page from the begining to the end of the last pages .
My mother woke up by 1:00am in the morning, but by then it was still dark outside.
She was actually heading towards the bathroom when she sighted me and she approached where i sat to read.


" my pikin na wetin you de read by this hour. Drop dat book go sleep", my mum said as she came closer.


" mummy pls no disturb na, i get exams to write oh ", i said


" torrr, na him you de read as if tomorrow no dey ?", she had asked


" mum i no de play at all with my books . If i fail now you go call dad tellam. So pls mak i read ", i'd mention still focusing on the notebook.


" okay 00oo. Make i no stand here again ?. Make sure say you sleep well after reading, okay ?", she said and swiftly walk towards the direction of the bathroom.


" 1980s with new generations are two different thing. I better read harder", i said in my mind and deep a towel inside the bowl beside me.


I placed the wetted towel on my head and memorized the topics again.
My mother later returned and walk pass the parlour to her bedroom. I had exhausted my energy to read and i could tell that i was Well impacted to write for the exams.
ßy 6:30 am that monday morning, i stood up from the chair, packed my notebooks inte the bag. I made preparation for what to eat before as the sun raised that morning .
I reluctantly entered my bedroom and did everything necessary
before leaving for school that morning. When i walk into the school compound, i decided meeting miss
grace.
But before walking towards the hostel, emeka saw me and he shouted on my name. I change my footsteps direction away from the hostel block.
I walk hurriedly to the direction emeka
stood.


"0 boi wetin happen?
Why you call me like say i don steal ?", i questioned emeka as i'd approached him.


" you come my place yesterday come talk rubbish. Now tell me,
na wetin carry your two legs go hostel block ?", emeka asked me, but i stared weirdly at him.


" see., if i kick you one, you go forget say na ibo boy you be.
Why do you keep on jealousing ?", i said and walk away from him.


I knocked on miss grace door and she invited me to enter.
I greet her and moved to the bed.She was busy by the time i had entered the room.
My eyes swelled due to the overnight reading when i had refused sleeping. I stretched my body, cleaned my eyes, but
the sleepiness was still disturbing me. I couldn't hesitate the
spirit of the heavy sleep in my eyes.
I informed miss grace to wake me up when the exams starts.I fell asleep forgetting i'd come to school for important purpose.


"prince dont be lazy, Go to your class and dont sleep here now.
Remember we had an agreement that if you perform well, am gonna buy you a gift"
miss grace said, but i was too fast asleep, as i couldn't give her
replies.


As i slept there in Grace room, the bell for the exams rang but i couldn't stand up.
Miss grace left the room to supervise a class. Uduak rushed in to call on me, but i woke up and rebuked
her.
I slept back on the foam annoyantly but uduak used a cool water to pour into my ear.
I stood up with force and chased her untill we ran into the exams hall...
Mr. Akpan called me out and thrashed me that morning for intruding the hall. The principal wicked me, he refuses giving me exams paper.


"chai.. So na like this i go take fail for this exams ?",
i'd asked myself, as i knelt down in the hall frontage facing all the combine students

When the hand tapped my back, i was thinking it an angel from God as a sign that God has forgiven me, because i had committed my body and soul in the mood of prayer. I was in deep spirit praying out loud and calling upon the name of the Lord.
I actually attended my own church service in my room.


"prayer warrior. You don pray finish ?", miss grace asked when i stood up.


" i was in the spirit when you tapped me. Any problem ?", i had asked.


She couldn't say a word, rather she moved to my bed and sat on it.
I was hoping she will kindly join me to pray, but she refuses . She began to look my room suprisingly, as she stood up and moved around the room.
I stood transfixed at one spot gazing towards every directions she enter. Miss grace had actually distracted me from praying. I felt like telling her to leave the room for vacans.


" wow!. You have a very nice room here. I hope this is not the exact bed you use when you kiss uduak ?", she asked and starts smiling broadly.


" have been dreaming of kissing her here. Even now that she is on my bed ", i replied laughing


"naughty you. I know you cant try. Perhaps, who will allow that happen ?", she asked rolling her eyes.


"huh!. Only love can predict to let it happen. And it can happen presently ", i said winking at her.


She couldn't leave my room again that Very moment we started discussing. we had fun right there in my room , whiled my mother spent her useful time in the kitchen warming and preparing food for her visitor. Afterwards, i had forgotten that i wanted praying for forgiveness as we tried sin. I sat on the bed beside her putting my hands on her shoulder. She didnt reject it.
Miss grace told me that uduak sent her greetings, since she couldn't branch my house on their way coming back from the church. I never knew what happened, that makes my eyes looked on her body in lust.
Well as a matter of fact, even if she gives changes to touch her, i wont.

The first thing that came to my mind when i separated from her, was her mood of dressing. She didnt wear her adorable dress anymore, no makeup but she was still her beauty.


" 0ya tell me wetin happen today madam?. Why you put on white shirt and blue skirt to church ?", i had asked


"00oo! That ?. Am a choirister in the church na. Do you still remember That day i gave testimonies in the church ?. It was that same day i informed the choir master that i would appreciate if they accept me in their union.
And they did ", she explain how everything went.


"hmmmm choiristers i de fear una oh !", i exclaimed and she throw my school bag at me.


Thereafter, my mother came in and called grace to the parlour. I use that little chance i had to summarize my prayer points , before dressing up in my outing cloths to meet them in the parlour. I waited for miss grace to finish having her meal. She thanked my mother for the hospitality and for the food prepared. She beckoned on my name and we left the house .
When we arrived her own home. The moment we entered her room, she removed her cloth and rushed into the bathroom to urinate.
I threw myself on her bed waiting for her to come out.
When she came out, we discussed, as we started rendering playfull insult on ourselves. She later informed me to go home and prepared for my exams. The exams was to commences the following day. I wasn't suprised to hear the information, because i had already prepare for it.
I spent sometimes with Grace.
She peg me on my cheek before i barge out of her room.
On my way walking home by then the time was 5:25pm, i remembered emeka disappointing me, the silly act he made by leaving me at the field all alone.
My mind urge me to branch and check on him. so i decided visiting emeka more that evening.
When i got to emeka compound, i sighted him in a shade searching for a book in his school bag. He was very busy searching desperately for a book.


"0ya, come explain where you go with that babe at the field ", i mentioned the moment i stepped into their roof shade.


" Guy no time 0oo. I de busy right now. We go meet tomorrow for school na ", emeka replied focusing his gazed on the note .


" na how many round you fucck that babe ?. But me de suprise whether na magic you de use toss babe. See as she follow you immediately. Chai..!! Emeka, you are a reall motherfuckerr !", i asked and emeka bursted into laughter.


We sat there to chat till in the evening. Emeka pleaded that he cant come escorting me, we shake hands as usually. I left emeka's compound and went home to prepare for the coming up exams.
