A State Caucus member of the Peoples’ Democratic Party (PDP), Engr. Offiong Usen Akpabio, has vowed to sack Governor Udom Emmanuel, staying unequivocally that he “will ensure that the entire people of Uruan do not support the second term bid of Mr Udom Emmanuel.

Engr. Akpabio who was speaking at the thanksgiving service in honour of the immediate-past Commissioner for Transport, Prince Godwin Ntukudeh, noted that there was no State government’s presence in his area, hence, his decision to mobilize Uruan people to turn their back on the governor during the next gubernatorial election in 2019.

Engr. Offiong Usen Akpabio, hails from Mbiaya Uruan is the husband of the current Women leader of the PDP in the State.

He accused the governor of neglecting his people saying that, the ongoing 19.7Km Anua-Mbak-Ishiet Road is not for Uruan Local Government Area . “The governor has to provide us with roads, especially in the Northern part Of Uruan where I come from.

The other part is not in Uruan . He should also improve our condition of service, otherwise we will wait for him during the election ,” the Mbiaya Uruan born Engineer stated. He noted that the governor has shown disdain to the people of Uruan by not appointing none of her sons into the State Executive Council.

According to Engr Akpabio, when the governor was picked as the PDP flagbearer in 2014, he had no campaign structure because he was a banker in Lagos State and not on the ground.



Then his kinsmen; immediate past Commissioner for Transport, Prince Godwin Ntukudeh, immediate past Council boss and now senior aide of the Governor; Hon Tony Akpan and himself campaigned and won the governorship election.

But today, Uruan Inyang Atakpo has been fraustrated out of PDP all because of the way the Governor abandoned them.

Engr Akpabio, however called on the Deputy Governor, Mr Moses Ekpo, who was present at the thanksgiving service and Elder brother of the governor Mr Nkanang to call the governor to order1 in a very embarrassing manner or risk losing Uruan to the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the forthcoming general elections.

The information gathered by our reporters from the people who were present at the event , has it that the umbrella body of Uruan progressives peoples forum( UPPF )who is the political group of Dr Godwin Ntukude has already started the registration of it members to APC1 as directed by Offiong Usen Akpabio and his brother Ntukudeh.
