The Positions are as follows:


Position1: Job Title: Application Support/Developer

Responsible to: ICT Manager

Job Purpose:
An experienced Application Support/Developer to work as part of the IT team on a Contract Basis. Candidate will be expected to develop reports using proprietary reporting software. Report development will include building custom reports based on users request and/or as specified by CFO/IT Mgr.
Would be responsible for the gathering, documenting, developing, testing and deploying business reports for key Nigerdocks’ business users; plus training/support of business users on how to effectively put those report to good use.

Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Develop new reports/application for Nigerdocks’ business operations
2. Troubleshoot reporting problems by determining error messages and debugging user problems, identifying and resolving application system operating problems to ensure continuous business application operations
3. Develop client/server application utility that would provide added service for in-house users
4. Responsible for assisting in the conversion of existing reports to Crystal Report and publishing it
5. Provide training and documentation on report usage to users
6. Provide training and documentation in Crystal Report development to business users
7. Other duties as would be assigned from time to time by IT Mgr/CFO

Technical Competencies:
1. HND/BSc - MIS, Information Systems, Computer Science, Finance
2. Have an understanding of writing reports from Sage Line 500 database structure
3. Have a minimum of 3+ years of experience in report construction, utilizing standard reporting tools: Crystal Reports, Microsoft Access and Microsoft Visual Studio, VBA, Reporting Services or similar.
4. 3+ years experience with SQL Server database programming & Database design and must have a thorough understanding of relational databases and Structured Query Language. Experience with Oracle/Microsoft SQL Server is a plus.
5. Have experience developing reports based on user defined specifications as outlined in design documents. Ability to apply client requirements to report design is crucial.
6. Have experience in web based programming; good understanding of IIS Server is desirous
7. Possess advance experience with the Microsoft Office Suite of products, with emphasis on Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word and Access
8. Experience working in BizTalk Server and Share Point a plus
9. Strong experience in keeping developed reports simple for end-users
10. Possess strong interpersonal skills and problem solving ability

Position 2: Job Title: Helpdesk/System Support Engineer – 1st/2nd line support
Responsible to: Help Desk/System Support Administrator
Role Purpose:
To provide first line helpdesk support to external customers, assisting them with hardware, software and network related issues
Duties and Responsibilities
• To provide 1st line technical support; answering support queries via phone, email and physical presence
• To maintain a high degree of customer service for all support queries and adhere to all service management principles.
• To take ownership of user problems and be proactive when dealing with user issues.
• Respond to enquiries from clients and help them resolve hardware, software and network related problems.
• Maintain a log of any software or hardware problems detected.
• Support users in the use of Computer equipment by providing necessary training and advice.
• To allocate more complex calls to the relevant IT Support member or team lead
• To arrange for external technical support where problems cannot be resolved in house.
Key Responsibilities:
• Receive, manage and record IT help desk requests receiving either by telephone or email.
• Dealing with and resolving helpdesk requests e.g. adding users, Active Directory updating, e-mail account creation, general IT trouble shooting.
• Working as a team member, providing support to colleagues as and when required.
• Assist/Advice Support Team Leader as to what

Technical Competences:
1. BSc/HND in Computer Science, MIS, Electronics with strong emphasis on System Suport services
2. Atleast 3years hands experience in System Support/Network Administration related services
3. Strong knowledge of Windows Vista and XP operating systems. An in depth knowledge of Windows 2008/2008 Server and Active Directory is an added advantage
4. Understanding of LAN/WAN, TCP/IP, VPN, Firewalls and Routers
5. In depth understanding of PC hardware set-up and configuration
6. Experience with using and troubleshooting Microsoft Office with emphasis on MS Word, MS Excel and MS PowerPoint
7. Experience with using email technologies such as Mdeamon and Microsoft Exchange

Position 3:Job Title: Network Administrator

Reports to:
Group Head IT Manager

JOB PURPOSE
Install, setup, and monitor local area network (LAN), deployment of e-Mail service, Application software’s and Servers, Perform a variety of maintenance, evaluation, installation, and staff training to ensure LAN performance meets company and user requirements.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
A. Administration
1) Administer network workstations, utilizing one or more TCP/IP or non-TCP/IP networking protocols
2) Evaluate and/or recommend purchases of computers, network hardware, peripheral equipment, and software
3) Investigate user problems, identify their source, determine possible solutions, test and implement solutions
4) Daily administration of all wired and wireless network devices such as switches, routers and radio’s
B. Technical Competencies
1. HND/BSc. Computer Science/Engineering, MIS, Electrical Electronics
2. Install, configure, and maintain personal computers, file servers, Windows Active Directory Domain Servers, E-mail Servers, Ethernet/Wireless/Fiber Optics networks, network cabling, and other related equipment, devices, and systems; adds or upgrades and configures modems, disk drives, data acquisition boards, CD ROM units, printers, and related equipment.
3. Perform and/or oversee software and application development, installation, and upgrades.
4. Maintain site licenses for department/organization.
5. Plan and implement network security, including building firewalls, managing host security, file permissions, backup and disaster recovery plans, file system integrity, and adding and deleting users.
6. Troubleshoot networks, systems, and applications to identify and correct malfunctions and other operational difficulties.
7. Good understanding of Disaster Recovery Plan using tools such as Microsoft System Centre DataProtection Manager or Symantec Backup Exec
8. Develop and conduct various training and instruction for system users on operating systems, relational databases, and other applications; assist users in maximizing use of networks and computing systems
9. Administer the central deployment of application/operating software (Windows XP, Vista) using deployment tools such as WDS, Configuration Manager 2007 or System Centre Configuration Manager e.t.c
