The Ogun State Governor, Senator Ibikunle Amosun, assured protesting students of Tai Solarin University of Education, Ijagun, to interface with the institution management towards resolving challenges.
Addressing the students at the M.K.O Abiola International Stadium, Kuto, Abeokuta, yesterday Amosun said even though most of the issues raised by the students are administrative, the government would intervene and seek lasting solution to them.
The governor, who had joined the students on the street and walked with them to the stadium, revealed that education in the state’s public primary and secondary schools is free but however added that “education in our tertiary institutions cannot be free, even though, we can subsidise it.”
