A proudly displayed sign-board announces the Nigeria police mosque in Ketu, Lagos State. The mosque is defiantly beside the side-walk in front of the Nigeria police station. Around the mosque, Islamic traders from the Arab emirates of West Africa and beyond carries on there businesses openly. Attempts by Lagos State government to correct this anomaly was resisted by gun-totting police men from the station. The situation has embarassed the Lagos State government to the extent that they do not know what to do again. One Nigeria from the perspective of Islam. |
