Dear Forunmites, It has become clear to me on why many Nigeria graduates are unemployable. Feelers coming from the Consultants handling the above Job openings show that less than 2% of over 250 applications so far received payed attention to details as advertised. Alot of people were just forwarding CVs without covering note and so many others were responding without salary expectations. Covering note enables the person shortlisting you to know you better. It is like an application. If an advertiser says you should write not more than 500 words, you are atleast expected to get to between 350-400 words describing your abilities and every other reason why you should get the job. There would be no need forwarding only your CV or hurrying with your application letter, when you are specifically required to send in a covering note. Please take every openings seriously. Most people that forwarded only their Resumes were not being considered atall. This does not apply to this Advert but to any other advertisement.Pay attention to details and write good English. |
