Delta State as we all know is an oil and agricultural producing state in Nigeria, with a population of over 4 million with an estimated area of 762 square kilometres (294 sq mi) located in the South-South geo-political zone.

During the 2015 general election, Delta State Governor, Senator Ifeanyi Okowa made a promise as he moved from one Local Government to another in Delta State. He promised to transform roads in Delta when voted into power.

Today as promised by Gov Ifeanyi Okowa, he has been fair, just and equitable to the people of Delta State over the distribution of projects as over 70 roads have been constructed and rehabilitated, some have been commissioned, while some are awaiting commissioning and some still under construction.

Even though our monthly revenue both from the Federation Account and Internally Generated Revenue had dipped significantly, Governor Okowa has shown dexterity in managing the little available as can be seen from the harvest of road projects across the state in his second year in office.

Most importantly is the construction of rural roads in the riverine communities where successive governments had failed to develop no thanks to their difficult terrain. Governor Okowa deserves the commendation of Deltans for being a beacon of hope to the abandoned communities by threading on the path were many dreaded so much.

Then 19 and 20, I remember vividly during the delta State at 25 celebration when the governor said the construction at the Ekumeku flyover road wasn't funded by the state Government, so who was lying then?

na waa for this clueless government oooooo. Lots of major roads are bad in Delta state and instead of the guy rehabilitating them, he is spending 30bn to rehabilitate streets.

Note: most of the street roads mentioned were not newly constructed, all they did was rehabilitation.

Tell the guy to go and fix Osubi - PTI road, Sapele - Eku road....

When the Ag president was coming towards that side, they had to quickly take earth to cover up the big dishes....

the annoying thing there is that, the so called government functionaries both at stated and federal level do pass this road with their endless security escorts on daily basis.

Kaduna state government recently got 5000 tablets from Exxonmobil in support of the states Smart school Initiative, plus the government is doing something massively in their Agricultural sector, Mining sector, plus still constructing roads and housing units plus quelling the security challenges in Kaduna South


Our Governor is building roads without drainage and is expecting applaudes, sorry o I forgot, he commissioned North-East Mega Filling station and Hotel de Copperfield (people personal business o)
Our ICT Hub has been commissioned but not functional. But as at last year August, the hubs director said publicly ( check vanguard August 10th) that the state government will inject 10billion naira before December last year into the hub.
