Australian immigration has launched a series of new, temporary work visa subclasses. The following four new visa types have become available:
• Subclass 400 Temporary Work (Short Stay Specialist) Visa.
• Subclass 403 Temporary Work (International Relations) Visa.
• Subclass 407 Training Visa.
• Subclass 408 Temporary Activity Visa.
In a bid to make the process of applying for a temporary work visas easier, the new framework is geared towards reducing red tape for businesses, industry and foreign workers by scrapping sponsorship and nomination requirements for specific short stay activities.
