Is the monthly statutory allocation a loan?

The monthly statutory allocation is a constitutional requirement.

Remember Tinubu (AD) vs OBJ(PDP) monthly allocation battle.

Soon as he ran to press and invited journalists to his own self conducted press briefing,i knew he had been cornered and was up to his usual mischief.

The headline that started this story few days ago is what has confused you guys. It also shows our poor reading culture as Nigerians. This is not the normally federal monthly allocation but a facility or loan given to governors with stipulated conditions.

Fayose only used the opportunity for his normal propaganda and comedy skit.

Can one go to the bank and get loan without meeting the conditions? Fayose should do the needful if Ekiti need the loan!

Because you can write I believe you can read.

It is clearly written the only withheld funds are the conditional bailout loans given by the federal government.

Ekiti's statutory allocation has been paid.

Then let the ministry of finance us evidence of the payments

What Fayose demanded for is monthly statutory allocation.
Re: FG Denies Withholding Statutory Allocation To Ekiti by Nobody: 7:36am On Feb 17, 2017
The painful thing is that salaries of Ekiti workers remain unpaid. Instead of holding Fayose accountable they are cheering him in his populist adventure.

Please read before making further comments. Both Ministry of Finance and Fayose called it Budget Support Facility and at no time did Fayose call it monthly allocation.

You no think say na Fayose dey sick? The man went to ask for assistance. Federal Government agrees to lend assistance provided that Ekiti agrees to certain conditions. Mr. Fayose is not keeping to the terms of the agreement but shouting on top of his voice as FG is if owing him.

How can fayose be the sick when everyone here on this forum seems to sleep and faces the same direction even without deep thought. The same mistakes the federal government is making that is holding the states down. Always give money, money and money. Share share share syndrome.

Fayose is a shameless liar who should never be taken seriously by anybody.

You don't make a conclusion based on what you read from a govt that has not been truthful.. You don't have the facts. How I wish you got enough parental training and sound academic training that makes one to be objective. The biggest tragedy in Nigeria today is seeing the 'educated ' yoruba youths being enslaved mentally by the Fulanis

And the FG is explicitly stating that this is not the statutory allocation, but a budget support facility. The FG further stated that terms and conditions were set for u to benefit from this facility and a lot of other states that expressed interest in the budget support facility has complied with the terms except Fayose.

Fayose should stop gra gra and simply follow the laid down terms.

No need for unnnessary name calling.

What Fayose complained about, is the January the statutory state allocation and Budget Support Facility.

The ministry of finance should simply clarify the the January statutory Federal Allocation has being paid.

The Ekiti State Governor, Ayodele Fayose, has accused the Federal Government of directing the Federal Ministry of Finance to withhold the January Federal Allocation and the Budget Support Fund due to Ekiti State.
