By Peter Williams Six Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) lawmakers in Lagos State House of Assembly have defected to All Progressive Party (APC), the action of the trio was claimed to be as result of crisis rocking the former political party. However, the development emerged weeks after speculations of the three former members of the PDP defection the APC. Through a letter read by Acting Clerk of the House, Azeez Sanni, on the floor of the House on Thursday, the defectors identified as Mosunmola Sangodara, Surulere 2; Fatai Oluwa, Ajeromi Ifelodun 2; Dayo Famakinwa, Ajeromi Ifelodun 1; Hakeem Sokunle, Oshodi-Isolo2 and Jude Idimogwu, Oshodi-Isolo I, stated defection of five PDP lawmakers to the ruling party. Meanwhile, other defected members who was minority leader, Akeem Bello, announced his crossing when lawmakers were speaking on their colleagues who defected, which made it a total of six. http://www.theguildng.com/?p=19646 |
