donald14:Seconded. However a good engineer should be able to bypass the logon error normally or with an installation disk and command prompt. |

Your user account profile has errors, you can try running start-up repair, booting into safe-mode, logging into a secondary account if that's available or reinstalling, Note unlike the old days, reinstalling should keep all your files intact, for windows they'll be probably just be moved to a Windows.old folder, Just make sure you do not choose the format option when reinstalling |
