I see Ambode and Co have stretch the "fire outbreak" tactic that has been very successful in the re-acquisition of shops in Idumota, Tejuosho and Yaba market towards the Makoko residents. Bravo Ambo, Bravo cool cool

This is not an issue of blame, rather, it's about solution... But, who started the blame game?

Govt has a hand in this fire outbreak. They had wanted to do what they did to Badia East to Makoko.

I think the Lagos Govt knows more about this fire to the ordinary man on the street. Independent investigators should be invited to investigate cause of fire outbreak. Yeah they may live in that slum, but they are also Nigerians too. They have right to life and their properties likewise.

This fire outbreak looks like a sysmtemic way of moving them away from their land and build their state own mansion. Coversion by Fire? I may be wrong.

you can't be so sure, remember majority of makoko dwellers are fishermen and would likely stock petrol in their neighbourhood for their boats engine and generators. remember theres harmattan in lagos these days

@ollaxworld, you've got a genuine point of view. It could be arsonist or a careless resident mishandling petrol storage.

This place is where timbers are sawed and turned into planks. There has been fire burning there underground the saw dust for many years. This same fire happened sometime in 2015 where you have the tall RCCG building. No fire service can get to that point. All wooden houses in that axis will be affected.
