WHO WILL HELP US COME OUT OF POLICE EXTORTION AND HARASSMENT?

Everyday now, From Agbara to Seme Boarder, we experience up to seven Police Contribution Points where policemen in different types of shades: some in full uniform, some in the POLICE T-shirts, some carrying guns and others carrying sticks and batons stop our vehicles to collect N100.00 from any vehicle which is not carrying a uniform personnel. They will ask drivers who do not give them money on time to pack and start harassing them with barrage of questions. Once, the driver or the conductor produces the money, they will ask them to go. it has even become so bad that these policemen give change to drivers who give them N500 ot N1000 notes.

We need urgent help! help us pass this request to
1. The Police Commissioner, Lagos State.
2. Area K Commander, Nigerian Police,
3. All DPO's under Area K.
4. The Governor of Lagos State.
5. The Akran of Badagry, if he can help.

In addition, let our complaints reach:
1. The IG of Police,
2. The President of the Nation.
3. All well meaning people who can echo our cries to those who are concerned.

The Policemen are making life unbearable to us on this road. They make Drivers avoid going our directio. Anyone willing to go charges us excessively complaining that the POLICE would have collected everything from their hands before they reach their destinations.

The POLICE Contribution points are usually mounted at the following points:
1. Immediately after the POLICE Housing Scheme at Atinporome.
2. A few meters before Mowo Bus stop
3. A few meters after Mowo Bus Stop
4. A few meters before Mosafejo Bus stop.
5. A few meters after Aradagun Bus Stop
6. About 2 meters away from French Village Gate
7. A few metres away from Road Safety Office before Iyana-Ajara
8. A few meters away from BOLLINTON Petrol Station.
9. A few meters away from SITO GBETHROME SECONDARY SCHOOL.
10. A few meters away from SEME POLICE Station.
