As the United states today celebrate The President’s Day previously known as Washington’s Birthday today, many citizens were seen staging protest against the US president. With some signs such as “Not my President”.

The US President’s Day is a United States federal holiday which is usually celebrated on the third Monday of February in honor of George Washington, who was the first President of the United States, who was also born on February 22, 1732. The day which became widely known as Presidents’ Day is seen as an occasion when the US honors all persons who have served as president.

A group of activists who were opposed to the Trump administration decided to use Monday’s President’s Day holiday to hold “Not My Presidents Day” rallies nationwide.

While government workers, school employees and students took the day off to celebrate the federal holiday, Protest were been made in several parts of New York, Chicago and Los Angeles.

Many carried placards with inscriptions such as “I don’t pay taxes to fund a golf weekend,” said one, while other placards read “Just say no to fascist pigs” and “NO! We refuse to accept a fascist America.”

From the number of protest which has greeted the new administration since Trump’s inauguration on January 20th. It seems this may not be the last protest the Trump administration will be facing.
