We are still very much relevant in some areas.
If only we can harness our agricultural potentials as a country, we would be relevant than even America.

Something tells me this is no good news! I just can't shrug off the feeling no matter how hard I try. It keeps ringing that Nigeria will be the loser in this deal. Poundo yam from China may flood Nigerian market in few years to come.

hmmm

While this is a good development, there are pros and cons to this;

PROs:
1) It enhances positive balance of trade
2) It provides more forex to our country
3) It further strengthens our currency
4) It further expose our business men, even farmers and agro-cooperatives to international businesses

CONs:
1) Nigerian's are known to abuse such opportunities and if not properly checked, you might find some people adding plywood as yam chips. Some might even try to smuggle hard drugs along with the yam chips to china
2) We lack proper food sufficiency and the situation will further worsen because farmers will surely try to export more than sell locally for more profit
3) If there's no proper education and training on processing and packaging, our farmers might end up losing millions of naira from destroyed products at the receiving border due to the poor standard we use to process and package our products here.

Nevertheless, i wish every prospective beneficiary of this opportunity a huge success
