Violence Among Our Students by feyiwonda(f): 5:38am On Feb 24, 2017
What exactly is our education sector turning into?

Are the faults 4rm parents?

Are our Governors helping matters?

Who is to be blamed?

What is the future of our next generations?

The present generation now breeds nothing but thugs; generation where students have turned themselves into thugs.

Teachers find it so hard to imbibe/ inculcate morals into students. They try to do the little they can,but their lives are at risk because the so-called students may end up not appreciating that little and flair up in violence.

Era where teachers are at the mercies of so-called students.

Forgetting they also have a family who need them more than any student

Are we to blame the parents who are too busy that they forgot to impact positively on the lives of their children and wards.

These are parents who fail to live by sound moral values worthy of emulation by their children; Parents who fail to guide their children properly all in the name of "busy with career" syndrome or "making money for my kids" syndrome; Parents who are insensitive to the needs of their children; parents who are morally bankrupt; Parents who forget to train their children such that they do not become a nuisance or at most a threat to the immediate community and the society at large; Parents who knows little or nothing about child upbringing.

However, some children do not listen to instructions dished out to them (they are adamantly stubborn)

 The question is....

What time of the Child's life should we start instilling morals in them?

Like we know if the foundations be destroyed, what can the righteous do?

The fundamental early stages are important to raising a child

From the time when they still suck breast milk from your breasts.

There goes the blame for the parents!

Time when they are still young and tender

But who else are we to blame?

Are we to blame the community we find ourselves,  where a lot of atrocities are committed day after day with most people involved getting away with it?

Or our leaders who in their selfish interest have abdicated their responsibilities to enrich their pockets?

They have jeopardize the state of the present and future generations.

Or Governors joining different schools together all in the name of  so-called development

Can we really call that change?

Are they happy with the way the educational system have become today?

Are they proud of their so called development

Where are you leading us to?

The problems you create for us now will get back to you someday

Why not make it right now ?

I pity parents who have refused to train up their children, remember a Yoruba adage that says ; omo ti a ko lo ma gbe ile ti a ko ta (A child we refuse to train, end up selling off the house built)

The lives of so many children they have wrongly influenced is on your neck.

Is not too late to correct this prayerfully.

Parents, lets the change starts with us

To us yet to be parents, let's set our values right,

Let us not also produce children/students who will be a threat to our community

Let's get the necessities, cultivate it and imbibe into our children to be leaders

Enough is enough

It is high time we start charting the course of our way forward to ensure we get out of these societal menace.

Let's start the change afresh with a good mindset.

Let's fight this  social monster threatening the peace and progress of our society.

Let us unite and say NO TO VIOLENCE AMONG OUR STUDENTS

Let us unite and say NO TO VIOLENCE AMONG OUR WARDS

We can do this if we all determine to

Let the change begins with me.

I, IYANUOLUWA say NO TO VIOLENCE AMONG OUR STUDENTS.

Kindly share with #tag NO TO VIOLENCE AMONG OUR STUDENTS.

Thanks.
