After whatsapp released it’s authentication (2FA),facebook also released a stardard security not like whatsapp but greater than Whatsapp.
This new authentication was made before Whatsapp planned for their 2 factor authentication which was announced early february and facebook already made their two factor authentication since january but it was better to wait and see what happens next.
This new facebook authentication is only available for facebook desktop users in a case where a USB Key is used to login process.
