REMO STARS HOLDS SHOOTING STARS SPORTS CLUB IN IBADAN

Remo stars of Sagamu on Saturday held Shooting stars sports club (3SC) to a 1-1 draw in a match day 10 ecounter of the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) held at the Lekan Salami Stadium in Ibadan on Saturday. The "Sky blue stars" were before the game, without a win or a point on the road, losing 4 out of 8 games, with a game in hand.

3SC took the lead early in the game through young forward Sunday Faleye who made a powerful run towards the opposition goal before unleashing a shot beyond the visitor's goalkeeper in a match that was cagey in the opening minutes. The visitors later grew into the game and were unlucky to have a clear goal ruled out for a foul by the referee.

The Sky blue stars were not to be denied as their star striker Victor Mbaoma took advantage of a loose ball to score the equaliser in the second half. The goal was the striker''s 5th of the season.
The two sides were unable to find a winner, settling for a share of the spoils.

In other matches played across the country over the weekend, Mountain of Fire Ministries Football Club (MFM FC) defeated Rangers Intl 2-1 on Friday in lagos. Goals from Sikiru Olatunbosun and Stephen Odeh was all the Olukoya boys needed to overcome the champions of the NPFL who got their only goal through Bobby clement.

In Lokoja, Niger tornadoes defeated Gombe united 1-0. Ifeanyi Okoye scored the game's only goal through a well taken free kick.

Mohammed Mohammed was the saviour for Abubakar Bukola Saraki Fc (ABS) as they defeated Wiki Tourist 1-0 to record their fifth home win in five games.

Kano pillars scored though former enyimba player Chinedu Udoji to beat Kastina united 1-0 in kano.
El kanemi warriors of maiduguri cruised past Nassarawa United 2-0

Sunshine stars of akure were able to put the salary saga which occurred last week behind them to record a 1-0 win over Rivers united

Ifeanyi ubah Fc also got one better against league leaders Pleated united easing the pressure on the team's coach Yaw preko.

At the nest of champions in uyo, Akwa united recorded an emphatic 3-1 win over Abia warriors.

Lobi stars of markurdi came from behind to beat Enyimba 2-1, Enyimba had taken the lead from the spot through Ismaila Gata before lobi stars equalised through Anthony Okpotu. Former Enyimba star Tyavkase delivered the winner after a fine cutback from Kwambe.
