Should former senators still be refered to as senators. Nigerians are title crazy, most of our journalists also aid them by not refering to them as former. Do this little test, pick any senator that served during the second republic and ask a student whether the senator is present or ex. Since all senators that have served Nigeria after the colonia era are refered to as senators. This send a lot of confusing signals to many students. Imagine still refering to local government chancellor that served during Babangida era as the "honourable".
