JAMB Denies Scrapping Awaiting Result For Candidates Vying For 2017 Admission by Kejilee(m): 10:31am On Mar 02, 2017
The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has denied cancelling the awaiting result option for candidates applying for the 2017 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME).

According to a statement released by the examination body via their official twitter handle, candidates with awaiting o’level results can apply but they must have gotten their results at the point of admission into their institution of choice.

The statement read: “If you apply with Awaiting Result at the point of registration, your result must be available while you go for screening

“JAMB will not deny any candidate the right to quality education. Please don’t be misguided. Part of the earlier press statement was misunderstood.

“That is why during registration those with results will be uploading their results, while Awaiting Result candidates will not upload anything”, the statement concluded

So if you hope to apply for 2017 UTME using awaiting result, go ahead and do so. JAMB will not disqualify you for that.
